I've always felt that making an event out of "coming out" was a bit much
"hey guys guess what I like fuckin men! "
I never felt a need to sit down and tell my father my sexuality. He has working eyes ears and a brain. Bdndndnndndn
Once I'm ready to introduce him to someone I'm really serious about I'll definitely tell him exactly who they are though. Not my "friend" . Bdnxbxbdnn
I dunno
I feel like the red carpet needs to be pulled owt after you tell your parents that you're a "zim" :trannyjblige:

ooh they're digging IN on this interview
"that pic was dissected on CERTAIN black blogs"
Well dig into the Nigger Room then
I can see how it can be liberating for some people, but yeah, coming out is nothing I've ever really subscribed to, personally.
I agree with her
Coming out is a traumatic experience... the relationship I had with my parents changed forever... it was better unspoken.

Unfortunately for some, even that last part might be considered "making an event out of coming out"

very sad.
i think it's important to "know" your parents before approaching a "coming out" mess.
"coming out" is supposed to be some emotional and empowering moment
but i think it's a good idea to also think logically . how will ur parents most likely react? what would the consequences most likely be?
i think a lot of people , deep inside, may know the answers to these questions but never really take time to think it through.
but its important IMO, especially if ur parents are still providing your room + board.

right do you want to be homeless or do you want to come out
you can get fucked from grindr all you want and they wont know
but if them knowing causes a disruption
just better to let god know :dead:
I think one population that may not have much of a choice are transgenders
eventually ur parents will ask u why ur walking around in heels fnfnnffndnnf
i believe transgender is def more of an actual identity as opposed to sexual preference
i can 100% understand their need to "come out".
