Jaz did everything right. The timing, the music, the performances. Not to mention the hype from other artists and folks like Charlemagne. Let's be honest: the music on Heaux Tales fits into today's musical landscape (vulgar, raunchy and profane). Those songs started conversations and memes all over social media which made people want to listen.
Brandy is a legacy act at this point, and that's how the B7 era was handled to me. I haven't seen her this visible in years. The music wasn't radio friendly like Jaz's, but the GP has finally accepted her for the LEGEND she is. I'm happy with that.

How many times they done said our good sis was done and she still kept it pushing even if it takes her 10 years. Bran was a teen in the 90s, not like she was almost 30, she is still youthful and only a few years older then some of the other popular girls. Other artist have had big hits in their later years, it most def can happen and she need to stop singing backgrounds on these songs and get a real feature. Why do u keep bringing up Rihanna like she hasn't been pushing out SUCCESSFUL albums back to back and always in our face. She just needed this break to venture into other areas of business so that she could build equity and diversify herself as more than just a POP artist b/c she knows she won't be on top forever.She also needed to grow as a woman and give us time to miss her....she isn't over music, I'm sure we're getting an album this year.
