I read it on Genius and then I found an old ass thread on prince.org where they discussed their fallout. :plzstop:

Allegedly Janet found out that Tina's boyfriend (who was also a dancer for Janet) was cheating on her and she didn't tell Tina. But she told that man to come clean about it, but he didn't. Eventually Tina found out and that's when they stopped being friends.

They have reunited during the Unbreakable era though.
