There's so many threads about her race on LSA. Someday said "She's not black. She has African ancestry. I don't know why y'all can't get that concept."
Others say "Y'all hate when the Dominicans deny thier blackness because they think they're too good. Then when Cardi claims her blackness y'all reject it."
Those race and ethnicity convos always get super complicated.
i honestly think if cardi just consistently said "im mixed" like she did in this post's caption very few people would argue with or question that.
shes clearly of mixed heritage, which would include african/black.
everyday black women don't jump between "im mixed" one day and "im a black womuh just like yall!" the next day. they're black women
every day and no one wonders or asks if they're anything else. there's an experience that comes with that. if you can hop in and out of mess when u feel like it, u have to understand why people are gonna question ur "blackness".
