Ariana is Italian , a lot of them have a naturally "swarthy" ethnic look of the Mediterranean so it's easy for her to shapeshift a bit and play "woman of color" with just a lil tan. Much easier for her than someone like Paris Hilton who has that super white/Nordic look of blond hair and blue eyes etc... who'd just look like a white woMan with a tan lollll
