The Roof is one of my favorite Mariah songs and to hear Brandy on a version of it would be amazing. I remember when Brandy was recording NSN album she said how much she played this song. And I've always felt like the Butterfly album influenced Brandy's vocal choices on NSN.

The Roof is absolutely stunning. It's like a hip hop
lullaby the lyrics are so deep and romantic ..yet sad. It's mad underrated imo

Yes a hip hop opera. Its not her best song or one that I listen to often but its def a gem.
Reminds me of a mixture of Janet Jackson "My Need" and Spice Girls "Last Time Lover" w/ quiet storm twist.
