Why does Scream 3 catch so much shit? 

It was so good. And fun!

I'm binging all the movies before I see 5 this Friday

This is probably the only time we would agree on something LMAO!!! It's not my favorite in the franchise but I enjoyed it. I think it catches a lot of hate because the comedy slightly outweighs the horror here, and it seems like Sidney is in another film before the third act. People use to call scream 3 the scobby doo adventures and it does feel like that a bit. Lots complaints about the soapy lost long son reveal too.

!!!!! There were a lot of rewrites after the Columbine shooting tragedy and the writers couldn't do what they'd originally planned and it couldn't be as dark or gruesome. The studio said no ma'am but i LOVE scream 3 like Que said  people do too much IMO and i prefer it over the 4th installment.

I also read more on Scream 2 and had no idea Sarah Michelle Gellar was allegedly being a big ass DIVA.  "Sarah Darling" was written into scream 3 cuz he used to call Sarah "Darling" on set and apparently didn't like her complaining about script rewrites and the fact that she was so expensive cuz she had to be flown in from filming season 2 of Buffy and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'

Yes, I heard about this. I would have like the Columbine storyline I'm in into crazy shit like that (don't judge me). Wes Craven the person will forever be my dog. The way this guy jump started the #MeToo movement on Harvey Weinstein with this film, and still told Maureen's story. I'm a Male feminist so part 3 holds a special place in my heart. So much tea was spilled in this film about Hàrvey even small details like the double closet mirrors in his bedroom LOL.

And Weinstein apparently kept screwing around with the script of the 4th installment as well.  Stu was going to be revealed in Scream 3, orchestrating the murders from Prison. That would have been sick!  He was still breathing when Sidney dropped that tv set on his ass in the 1st film

I love Scream, the new one, 2 & 3 (the opening with Jada and Laurie Metfcalf made Scream 2 for me) and Scream 4 being dead last is my ranking. Scream 3 is the one i can watch over and over though
for so many reasons. It's just FUN


I can't decide on a final ranking until i see the new one again, but, Scream 4 was trash to me outside of the surprise killer reveal. That was unexpected and the final hospital scene was dope to me.
