I'd say Nick is pretty popular. He has a lot of jobs right now hosting different shows, I don't think popularity was the problem. I think he just isn't a good fit for daytime talk shows

well he is popular but he isnt popular ENOUGH cause his show got cancelled.  He isnt popular enough to carry a talk show on his own.  IMO and clearly FOX opinion as well

Troye cut Nick some slack. I would agree he is popular, and likeable, his audience just ain't watching his show though.  This streaming era has really screwed shit up for network tv, plus nobody is home like that in the daytime and if they are they aint watching talk shows. 

And i am certain him being corny helped land this gig. TPTB only give two types of blacks men talkshows; educated and corny comic. So that's not even a read.
