I put in for an extension nfnfnnfcncn. I made an appointment for next Tuesday

Unless you owe taxes or you're filing back taxes for the year 2019 specifically, the extension wasn't necessary.

well from everything ive read on the penalties, it talks about the interest that accrues that will be added to your payments to the IRA. i couldn't find anything that talks about a deduction from your refund for late filing.

it makes sense. the IRS wants THEIR money on time. they couldn't care less about refunding us OUR mess bvvccccc

!!!

It doesn't, I just didn't feel like squeezing it in cncnnccn. And it's actually in the best interest for those who do owe to file before the deadline or they'll have to start paying penalties for each day to follow..

QuoteIf you're due for a refund, there's no penalty for filing your taxes late, according to the IRS.

Not Bow cosinging Lonz' guesstimation that owing the IRS has nothing to do with the deadline then completely contradicting herself in the next sentence with a ACTUALLY! :omf:

I said I filed for an extension because I didn't feel like dealing with it and rushing. I agreed with what Lonz said, what's the confusion?
