The way the woman was looking at them...I would've pulled right off and went to another gas station.

Unfortunately considering that most if not all of gas stations in black hoods are owned by curry people

They woulda just got the same mess at the next stop

Obviously someone saying "I wanna buy 5k worth of gas ... fill me up!" is a clearly unusual request and a possible red flag but I'm certain if they were white people saying that there would've been a lot less suspicion and hesitation

The fact that they have zero idea who she is really highlights how out of touch they are with the community they profit from. They operate businesses there and give nothing back meanwhile she's the people's mayor.
