a lot of yall seem to forget that there's a lot of different types of Black people represented in Tyler's productions.
from the lawyers, to loud n ghetto Shaquanna with 3 baby daddies, to the CEOs, to the country bumpkin uncles
it's about choosing the PROPER role, which is what Angela Bassett did - as she ALWAYS does.
yes, if Angela chose to play loud and ghetto Shaquanna - rolling her neck , stealing weave from the beauty supply store and cursing out Dayquan ...to me THAT would have brought her stock/brand down a lot.
but she chose a role that was fitting .
and honestly it says a LOT that someone who is selective as Angela did a Tyler production.
someone who had no problem passing up the type of roles that got other Black women Oscars...cuz she didn't feel it was a good fit
