i love how she still knows the lines word for word

she mentions NAACP pushed back on "Levita" and wanted the character removed from the Steve Harvey show

but she ended winning 4 NAACP Image Awards for the role. :plzstop:

im glad they kept Levita around. there's such a thing called BALANCE.
and a beauty in reflection of variety in the real world

yeah there was Levita on the show, and right beside of her was Regina Grier...a college educated principal who was super professional and more "proper".

NAACP finally came to their senses and realized Levitas need to be seen too. she did an AMAZING job in that role, so nice to see her proud of it still and standing behind Levita.

it's so fitting that she's telling this kinda story and she works side by side with Tyler now as a producer. so much of his work showcases that same variety, but people ZOOM in on the "ghetto" characters. scncsnscnscnnscscs completely ignoring the lawyer, doctor or CEO in the same movie/show.

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

Aren't all her roles "ghetto?"

Lovita acted ghetto but she had a steady job, no kids or baby daddies, a loving monogamous relationship with Cedric, a place of her own to live etc. She wasn't just some hoodrat with no sense or morals

Lovita the character actually added more UMPH to the show.

It definitely felt like something was missing when it was just Stevie, Cedric and Regina
