Anywho, I always believed Monica's issue was the positioning of her place in R&B, everyone owned something... Monica had great (Billboard) accolades but she was never the first girl to do something significant musically or even culturally

One thing about Brandy & Sonja they positioned her legacy from the minute she came out from intentional looks (braids), down to being the first Black girl to do a few things (TV, movies, endorsement deals, etc)

I completely agree. She couldve did that BS on one of them Slayana Tour spot dates but for your 1st televised performance medley honoring your legacy?! Nahhh we needed them 2/11 looks or a classic nostalgic look with some long micro or box braids and lighter, warm, neutral, or pastel colors repping her 90s vibe... I wish she had the Faith Evans setup with the classic name logo in the background... them ladders and fits were a fool

Yes, somebody posted how monica should be more recognized or something and some accomplishments and of course people started tagging her and she responded.
