She def had a good balance in 2/11 and the quality of her pre-records was good that you couldn't tell as much

Brandy started lipping almost exclusively (of course not EVERY time,  but most performances) on the Afrodisiac album

!!! And I think starting the era of with uptempos was a big part of that. Afro (the song) is very choreo heavy.

Then the period before AGT up to Human, Brandy really wasn't performing like that, but when she did she'd almost always sing with a track. She didn't start being intentional about singing live until she had that issue at the hair show, which is how we got the ADC acapellas.

However, Human > Two/Eleven she's had several live moments. Are you guys forgetting that's when the bathroom bangers started?

And to be clear, she wasn't lipping any more than any other Pop/RnB artist that does daytime tv gigs. There's just some shows you don't sing live for.
