In other tv news, the first trailer for the "Roots" miniseries is here.

In a four-night, eight-hour event series, premiering Memorial Day weekend, a new generation will experience the "Roots" anthology via a new story re-telling.  The story will paint a historical portrait of American slavery, focusing on the journey of one family and their will to survive and to carry on their legacy despite hardship.

Questlove is serving as executive music producer.

The series will air across several networks: History channel, Lifetime, A+E.  Check out the powerful first trailer above.
