I ran across this article while I was researching pics of white people's DNA. Some of you are wondering by now why the hell I was doing that. lol. But I was doing it because I really wanted to know why anyone would genuinely aspire to be white. Or white-like. It's so plain, vanilla, cut and dry to me.
It really began to baffle me to the point where I started doing just a bit of research. This article challenges the theory that black people's desire for white DNA stems from slavery. They actually made good points, even though I still had my reservations about how it was presented.
But I'm having a hard time understanding it. I would never want my hair to be straight. I don't want white skin

. Why do some of us look for these things? And again, this has NOTHING to do with throwing shade at white people, they are beautiful. It's just that I wouldn't want to be them. lol. And there's nothing wrong with feeling that way.
What do you guys think of this article?
