They're kids. And kids get into fights, everything doesn't have to be about "oh black people we need to unite", etc.
I was taught as a child as well, don't go starting anything, but if someone puts their hands on you, know how to defend yourself. Bullies don't just come in the form of black people. And it's normal in school.
It's when grown people are out in the streets behaving like KIDS, is when it is sad. Because at that point, you should know better. And even though sometimes anger makes you want to lay HANDS on someone a bit, you should have developed some sense of self control.
