Frank didn't actually run the car into Annalise. He put the bug in the room, the girl who paid him heard Annalise's plans, notified the rich guy (Wes' ddy), who basically hired a hit man to get rid of Annalise. He wasn't expecting her to survive...he tried to kill her. Only killed the bby though.

Fast forward to the present. Annalise NEVER knew Frank put that bug in ha room and Sam made sure she never knew. Frank owed Sam for basically killing his bby. That is why he killed the girl Sam knocked up. Frank really isn't a killer, just owed Sam. That actually made it look like the ONLY time he killed anyone...

ANYWAY, Frank telling Laurel about the murder TRULY was the fuck up. Apparently, NO ONE knew he did it (that is still alive at least) until he told Laurel. BUT Laurel just KNEW (wit ha dumb butt) that all the big wigs were aware (Annalise/Bonnie) so she told Annalise she knew that Frank murder that hoe Sam knocked up...but SURPRISE! She didn't.

I think that Annalise was either scared because Frank is a fucking murder and she wasn't aware of that shit like that OR she put 2 and 2 together and figured Frank had something to do wit ha losing ha bby OR she was just like, "this shit is too much" and left town (REMEMBER, she also at that moment, knew the truth about the whole Caleb mess and that alone was a fucking LOT).

I think it was the last thing, because Bonnie THOUGHT she was handling some shit by telling Annalise what Frank did back in that to ha, but instead it PISSED ANNALISE THE FUCK OFF!

So now...where is Frank? Did he killed Wes ddy (Mahone)? I doubt it. Why would he seek revenge this late in the game? And plus he has bigger fish to fry with Anna. He DEF can't step foot back into that fucking house.

My theory 

Frank followed Wes to New York. He knew he was in hot water over the Mahoney mess and that it was going to unravel any day now. He wanted to handle business a bit to remain in Annalise's good graces. I think she kept Frank around because he knows her other deep secrets!

Can't wait for the next season.

something was off about season 2 writing wise
like i missed the original formula of shocking us with what happened
and slowly unwinding bits and pieces till it makes sense

they did a duality flashback all throughout lmao
and most of that was because they needed to write why analisse had a connection to wes
and now they have taken it this far lol
