At about the 1 hour mark, it really begins breaking down how the "New World" was built literally from the ground up. Quite fascinating, and pretty cool to see the animals that were brought here from Europe.

I'll keep my less positive comments to myself for now.

Gonna watch this, and the other documentary you posted months back, soon :dead:

I have to admit that parts of this made me really angry, just knowing the diseases that were brought over here from Europeans literally wiped out 90% of the Natives who were there before them :uhh:

But then I remember that many people in America, especially us African Americans, are a result of all of this history -- the good and bad of it. If it weren't for slavery, and slave rape, we wouldn't be here. And the Blacks wouldn't even have met Natives to marry and mix with them. We are all ultimately just a product of our ancestors. Whether they were in love or not. Whether it was consensual or not. :dead: :uhh:

So it makes me feel better. And a lot less angry when I watch mess like this. :dead:

History is so interesting sometimes. I secretly lived for all the social studies classes I've taken over the years (so long as the teacher could fckin teach)

But these youtube videos kind of act as a virtual informant on many, compelling stories about struggle and love. It's almost overwhelming all the information that's out there.

It really captures the serenity that was said to have existed. Felt like I was really taken back.
