But all this hoopla and faux protests and outrage on social media from influential pop figures over the cat from Africa, where the hell were these people when shit in our own country was going down?

I'm surprised Nicki didn't jump in with her two cents of outrage for Mufasa. The only time she throws the race card is when her music video award is in jeopardy.
