She came too late in the industry.
At this point the big voices were not IN anymore. That's sad for her. Gifted but she has no identity. Just another big voice out there.
And Rodney was sharing the Brandy sound with everybody including her. She needed her own signature.
this was pre fool moon and the nun sound wasn't happening in 2001.
the issue was like someone said, it was late. rhona needed to get in around 99. this sound for rodney was very similar to what he had already did for toni, tyreese, j.lo and even his group so plush around 99-2000. he wanted rhona to be a pop star like the other disney girls, but this video and sound was late at that time. he didn't give rhona a great sound for the time. he put more energy into mj around the time he was working with rhona. even his girl group so plush had better sounding music and their single had a better sound as well.
