"Why'd ya love me like this.....

Why'd ya hurt me like that...."

Ugh, the deep album cuts!

Or should I say, #theunreleasedcuts

Damn near EVERYTHING about this song outlines how amazing she is vocally...and further proves that her music has GREAT replay value...it's the little things she does that make her voice sound so BIG...not necessarily the volume, but the texture of her voice...everyone doesn't have that! It's what separates good singing from GREAT singing... :stressed:

The clear rasp of her tone, definitely Human-era,
The natural twists and turns of her gusty voice...it has depth...

She KILLS the vocals effortlessly, especially during the chorus and the bridge as her runs cascade so breezily along...
And one can possibly miss that slick ass inflection she did at 3:46...OMG!    :receipts:

See, Brandy does things that greatly reward the CLOSE listener...she really is a singer's singer! Someone whose vocals you STUDY...Ugh, I could literally write an essay about this woman's voice...people say we overestimate her vocal prowess, but they just don't get it!!  :loose2when:

sorry for the rant...I'm glad someone posted this so I can revisit it...

Yes, many just don't understand! Brandy is freakin' annointed and gifted vocally! You have to listen to her music with headphones so you can really catch all she's doing! Her voice plucks the heart springs like the word of God. Just beautiful!

this is one of my favorite brandy songs period. definitely shouldve been on an album... and released during the pop ballad era of mid to late 2000s.
