It's not underrated. 

People just can't accept that Rihanna is not on a GRAND level anymore.  4 1st singles, running to Samsung to go platinum, pushing the album back a year, low ticket sales & downsizing stadiums in Europe (still not releasing the box scores for over half of her dates), etc.

People are just indifferent to her unless it's mindless & fun.  But no one is interested in investing into her artistry anymore.  That's why she has to run to a Drake or a Calvin Harris to stay afloat.
