An isolated incident with 4 black teens "Torturing" a white male and here a historical incident of White people killing and molesting the black man but no outrage. Only mad at me not giving a fuck about the former. Yeah lol

It is not really about supporting one race or the other, so I don't understand the thread. I know it sounds edgy but that other story is horrible too. They are all sick people who should be locked up.

I think the fact that they streamed it also is important..people could witness it and really get the whole experience. It is intense. It makes you think about how you would react if you saw something like that happen on your timeline. Could you stop it? Or are you just letting it happen? Viewers become part of it..they are helpless witnesses.

Words in an article are horrible as well but it is different. The people were already arrested. We know that it has been handled. There is more distance. Even though it is way more horrible than the other event this might be an explanation why some stories affect people more than others

We reacted in a certain way because you already introduced it in a certain way. Like we should care less about the event with the black people than the white. So you can't really expect us to be like yeah this story changed our view, set them free because.. they were not torturing the white folks who committed this crime (and 'deserve to be tortured'). If that white guy was a horrible criminal our opinions may have changed..but these are two different cases.
Interesting theory but I don't know how you could compare reactions..

The original thread was 4 black teenagers kidnapping and streaming the abuse of a white mentally disabled kid, the subsequent thread after that was 4 white teenagers luring a mentally disabled black kid into the locker room and raping him with some foreign object
MOST people were disgusted by both and wanted justice
