I will never understand how some people quickly resort to insults while discussing things as trivial as music/artists.
Just ignore it
what I will never understand really is why bsource has always allowed all this negativity on a Brandy board.
honestly, I wont ever understand it.
Something created to love someone as Brandy..... and its painted with all this crap.
Its really sad
BSource's culture, albeit gritty, is a culture which has kept this forum going for a very long time. There were other boards which existed and promoted "rainbows, love and serenity", and were closed down 2-3 weeks later. The gorls can complain about the formula but its tested, tried and true; at the end of the day such a controversial and sometimes harsh setting has set the foundation for a community which is among the very few Brandy sites still standing. Just come here, get your tea, and punch -- stay away from the mess and you'll survive just fine.
I understand you guys are more familiar with Bran's history with the boards, I never knew any other board than this, so I cant judge or analyze the real reasons.
But all your reasons aside (that I get, many users LOVE this mess/negativity)... I still believe there are other options that could last years. This is not the only board in the world alive after years, lol, you feel me? there are many boards out there, music boards, cinema boards, comicbook boards..... there is another option out there, it just hasnt happened yet with Bran, for whatever reason
There have been plenty of sites which popped up AFTER BSource and tried to provide alternatives to those who preferred doves and butterflies flying around throughout the day. Here's the problem -- and I'm going to be pretty candid with this, so bear with me. This particular formula would have worked well if Brandy were still at her peak career-wise; actually, that setting did work for many years. However, times have changed and there needed to be an "incentive" of sorts to keep users coming back -- especially with an artist who takes nearly half a decade of a break between albums.
BSource has always been a car accident. By this I mean that you see the wreck and you know it's horrible; yet and still, your eyes remain fixated on it. The dramatic mess is strangely alluring. You have some who will get a close up look at the mess, and others who will keep their distance. But everyone's watching. This is what keeps this site alive during Brandy's generous slots of break time between albums.
Then, once she's back, the entire board becomes Brandy central once again. This board is weird as fuck, and rude, and so nasty sometimes. And I love it.
