I dont get the obsession with the vocals at all

who cares about vocals? many artists can have the best vocals in the world, but still be considered boring.

To me, its about the whole package, being creative, hard worker, with a good/decent voice, great image, and most important, be entertaining.
If an artist lacks the last factor, it doesnt matter if you have a great voice, you wont connect with general audience.

Examples of this are everywhere.

No one is saying tinashe should give whitney in this song but her vocal delivery on this song was monotone and dry. You could still slay a vocal without screaming

Do you think Rihanna is a star because of her voice?
and why Nicole S with a much better voice and skills isnt selling?
And Jessie J with her range?.... why her singles outside from Bang bang arent hits?

Well, there u have 3 perfect examples of what Im taking about. The world isnt named SS but there u have the results, so... point proved.

that doesn't mean WE are gonna find Tinashe's vocals appealing. I don't like her tone, and that's VERY important when I listen to someone SINGING. I don't care how creative they are if they aren't pleasing to MY ears, bby luv. It's not for you to understand
