Adele because she outsold Flea stateside and globally. 25 sold 4.5 million WW and close to 2 million in the US in 2016.  Too bad all of those C-list, R&B awards couldn't translate into sales,  huh?

Adele?s 25 ended 2016 on top, becoming the bestselling album of the year. The record was also the bestselling title of 2015, when it was released, but that didn?t stop it from consistently selling tens of thousands of copies week after week throughout 2016.

Here are the 10 bestselling albums in the U.S. in 2016:

Hey why didn't Adele win any billboard awards this yr

Queen won all the major awards last year. They certainly wasn't gon' let her repeat it. Just like Tay won all the majors in 2015 and Del won in 2016 even though Tay was nominated in all of the categories Del was in 2016. The real question is, why did Drake sweep for 2016 and the highly acclaimed, most awarded Lemonade didn't?  Shouldn't Lemons have beat Del's record since it was highly favored and touched by God?! 

Course not! Cause Billboard Awards is based on receipts, except Rihanna deserved Top Female Artist of 2016 because she scored more hits than Adele and most certainly Beyonce in 2016.
