Profanity-laced footage Trey Songz posted on his Snapchat may be used in his assault trial.

According to CBS Detroit, a Wayne County Circuit Court judge granted the motion during his pre-trial hearing Tuesday to present the still photos and video, which include the singer saying "F--- the police."

In December, Songz (real name Tremaine Neverson) was charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a police officer. During a rowdy concert appearance in Detroit, the singer allegedly threw equipment from the stage at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena and punched a police sergeant after his mic was cut off for apparently exceeding his time. He was then arrested and released on a $25,000 bail.

The 32-year-old singer declined a plea offer in February that would have reduced the felony assault charge to a misdemeanor. He is reportedly awaiting his next court date while his trial has been scheduled for Sept. 12.

Songz' rep offered no comment.
