I tear up every time I listen to it. It's so ambiguous but just makes me realize how much she's done and how there's really nothing she hasn't. Uhhhhh.

I think this is her farewell alber.

it all makes sense. the references and sampling of her previous, most famous works
the super personal, autobiographical messages
the album title, which is similar to Mike's final album title....

This definitely gives farewell teas.

The thing is, if it's true I would be so sad to see her go but I'm not upset about it.
She has done everything there is to do in music, and she has nothing left to prove.
She's married, happy, and in a completely different place in her life.

At some point you just want to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

where long after their prime they can still go on and release little albers here and there
she's more of a pop icon than a vocalist. and every release she does will have huge expectations
i can understand her bowing out at this time. but i think she felt the need to give her fans this one last experience.

she's such a beautiful person.

The part about her having huge expectations is absolutely true but she could do the same thing and release albums here and there as well. She doesn't need the money so I'm sure she just doesn't really see the point. She could very easily do what Diana Ross does.
