Robert Yancy, the son of R&B singer Natalie Cole and grandson of jazz legend Nat King Cole, died at his San Fernando Valley apartment on Monday night, according to a TMZ report released Tuesday (Aug. 15). He was 39.

Yancy's death is currently attributed to natural causes, reports TMZ, and autopsies are still underway for analysis.

LAPD has confirmed that a 39-year old man was found dead at a San Fernando Valley home at 9:45 p.m. on Monday night, but could not confirm it was Yancy.

Yancy's mother died of congestive heart failure at age 65 in 2015 and his father, Martin Yancy, died of a heart attack at age 34 in 1985.
