Typing "I" on my iPhone is driving me NUTS!

It has been pissing me off for 3 days now.  I had no idea other people were going through this.

Apple recommends this until they send out an update
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
Tap +.
For Phrase, type an upper-case ?I?. For Shortcut, type a lower-case ?i.?

If you don?t use a cap version of the letter I, It won?t work
