It shouldn't be awkward. It's a learning experience.
I'm sure your non-music friends would be very interested to learn about the industry.

The worst is when you have friends who just don't use each other.
None of my female friends like each other.

I have to hang out with them separately and then when they make sly comments about the other I don't know what to say. Usually I just laugh and co-sign.

I'm glad I can mix and match my friends. All my friends even classmates, co-workers and co-stars are a slight reflection of different parts of me so when we all come together it's a fun time.
