I think with the movie she is reaching a lot of other ppl she wouldn't have connected with.  Like a lot of old ppl went and saw this movie cauSe they watched the older versions in the 20th century.  All the ppl in the theatre with me were old af white ppl.

When her debut hype died down, the older generation (my older colleagues) were obsessed with her work with Tony Bennett, etc.  I think now she has centered her presence.

As streaming continues to eat away at sales, rock and roll has slipped from its place as the leading genre in the country. But reports of its demise are way, way too premature.

The industry can control radio... but they'll have a hard time controlling the people streaming at home -- and most ppl listen to Hip Hop. That will shine thru in the stats.
