And reparations shouldn't just be about slavery. Just because slavery was abolished doesn't mean that everything was all of a sudden sunshine & rainbows.

You also have to take into consideration that Black Americans had to endure Jim Crow, lynchings, the government sanctioned crack epidemic, redlining, voter suppression, gerrymandering, etc.

All of this shit has contributed to the disadvantage and lack of wealth for generations of Blacks in this country.

Gimme my coins

It definitely IS at the point of where's my damn check?

It is certainly not too late for reparations, especially when you still have Jewish descendants of the holocaust receiving economic redress even from the railroad companies that took their ancestors to concentration camps. Months ago, folks were telling me that we'd never get to the point where several politicians have to even address it, and look where we're at now. This is coming full circle 400 years in the making.

Well, how exactly would reparations be given out? Does everyone over the age of 18 get a check for a couple hundred grand? A few acres of land?

And are biracial people and afro Latinos (mainly the Dominicans who are quick to tell you they're not black) entitled to get a piece of the pie too?

And on a related note: Do any of you guys believe we're entitled to reparations?

I honestly just accept slavery as part of the country's history. Yeah it's really fucked up that it happened, but without it happening I wouldn't be here. :omf: As I'm not an African who was actually taken from the shores, but more so a product of American history. Kinda weird way to look at it but it gives me solace.

Naturally there would have to be limitations/restrictions. If you can't trace your lineage in this country back several generations, especially before 1965, that would be a point of exclusion imo.

Opposites Attract.

I'm not voting for this bitch. Black People have been through so much. The Jews got their coin, why is it so difficult to understand that we need ours too? People kill me. Others races can skate through but we got to pause and question whether or not we should get ours.

Shit is wack to me.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

Kalifornia.

America will never allow Black people to truly be equal to Whites.
