I think what HUGO is saying is that the victim's perspective of the abuse is different depending on their age. A 5 year probably wouldn't know they were being touched inappropriately, which is so many victims don't talk about it until their much older.

Well not just the victim but also the abuser. If you have an adult molesting a child, they are fully aware that what theyre doing is wrong. Idk but chances are they're also fully aware of the impact it may have on the victim. Now if you have someone who hasn't even hit puberty or hasn't been educated on sex, how could they know what they're doing is wrong or understand how it could affect the victim. Especially if no adult catches it to correct them.
