so glock
is it that you DON'T get the correlation, or that you DO you just don't like it ?
also, this girl aint making blacks the face of anything. she sent a tweet to make a point. if she was mexican it would've said mexicans, etc.
I never get the correlation between homophobia and transphobia to blacks being discriminated against ..
Nor do I like it
One is a race issue..
The other is a lifestyle issue
The two do not equate.. and regardless of what any of u would like to accept.. in a lot of ways this water downs the experiences of blacks when it gets compared to gays not being accepted
Do u kno what "Sco pa tu manaa" means?
That's in the first tweet that she quoted..
which means "which experience does this remind u of"
Do u not see what's happening here?
They aren't fucking comparable king
Stop this
"what experience does this you of"...
what's the problem? there ARE parallels that can be drawn. she not saying the experiences are the SAME. nor was she comparing them in a struggle olympics type of way. again youre making all kinds of assertions that the actual tweet doesn't support. that's all i'm saying.
her point was basically, if ppl said this about a POC it would be recognized as blatantly bigoted, so why are you so comfortable saying it about a gay person? is that not a valid and well-intentioned point? and im sure she only used blacks because she herself is black. if she was another race she would have used that race.
you're literally forcing a race struggle vs. sexuality struggle angle when that isn't even close to what the point of this was king.
