Didn't I say this would happen?

Herb.

These corporations are greedy as fuck.
If this $15 mess passes on a large scale, they're gonna find another way to save money.
And convince their customers it's "better".

But I actually like this idea...
It's sad for those people who work in that industry.

I think if they try this, people who eat at fast food place need to boycott.

They've BEEN doing this overseas in certain places

But I'm sure the minimum wage mess made them really look into it

Herb.

Of course the concept itself isn't new...a lot of products we consume are mass produced by machinery
But my worry was with fast food workers in this country.

It's one thing to go to a Walgreens or CVS and see self-check out, but still have the option to purchase at a cash register (with a live person) - which I prefer.

But with fast food, I think they will eliminate the people altogether.

We're creatures of habit.

It's no different than us getting frustrated with automated systems when we call our cell phone company, bank, etc. Although the machine may be just as well equipped to handle our concerns or questions, since it's linked to the same database that a human would view, we generally prefer speaking with another human being.

It'll be a while before we really accept machines handling so many of our day to day activities. Companies are trying to slowly introduce the new idea, but they're being cautious of how hard they push it. We get really angry when we can't speak with someone.  :plzstop: It's in our nature imo.
