Kelly is definitely talented but he stunted her from reaching her full potential by not instilling the same confidence and belief in her that he did with Bey. It was his fault.  

Past Trauma last some people a life time.

Kelly (or any of the other DC girls) just didn't have the same DRIVE that Bey did.

Sure Bey had the backing of Mathew and the (alleged) benefit of being light-skinned but her attitude would have made her a star in any situation imho.

Her Mom was a damn servant and I personally think Solo wasn't really serious about being a Solo artist until Hadley Street.
