I didn't think about it much, but after my brother died last month I find myself hoping Heaven is real more often now and I've never been an overtly religious person.

Sorry for your loss .. He much better off than any of us alive are that have to face these final last days that's for sure. He in a peaceful sleep like state until God wake him up.. And bring him back to LIFE

I had a near death experience

It wasn't some beautiful or dark moment.

The first thing that goes is sound then pitch black nothingness.

Then he took his hands from around my neck

Nothing happens when you die and you have no consciousness of it.. It's like sleep. You simply cease to exist when you die.. No pain.. No nothing.

Its so far from sleep
U looking at a dead body may look like sleep though
But just like in the six sense it does take a while to acknowledge that the live u are living is not the earthly life u once had

It's like sleep in that you aren't conscious or aware of when you are sleep and you have no sense of time when you are sleep. Thats what Jesus called it before he resurrected folks.. They sleep... Period.

No ur thinking of phyical conciousness connected to the mind which dies once oxygen stops flowing
The true conciousness of who we are never dies or sleeps
It adjusts
Even when people have crossed over and was brought back to life they never report going to sleep they are very active and present about what they seen during that time we called it death
Whats ur purporting is a limiting belief stemning from fear and ignorance
The bible speaks in literal and metaphoric terms as i said from the outside looking in its sleep but lots going on still

God doesnt care about a dead body hun or else he would give himself one if he thought it was all that and or make us immortal

And what happens when a body is decapitated mangled or cremated
God is gonna go thru the trouble of putting it back together to satisfy ur myth that the person is gonna be brought back to life??????

If folks tell you they remember stuff after having a near death experience, they weren't truly dead Lew. A truly dead person...have no sense of consciousness, no memories of their final moments, no dreams no nothing. It's a complete state of nothingness. When Aaliyah comes back the last thing she will probably remember is shooting the Rock The Boat video.. And laughing with her friends ect.. All painful memories will be erased..This earth was meant to last forever and for people  to enjoy life until tje devil tried to ruin it.. But it ain't going nowhere. And millions will be resurrected.

And what happens when a body is decapitated mangled or cremated
God is gonna go thru the trouble of putting it back together to satisfy ur myth that the person is gonna be brought back to life??????

Our soul and spirit are extreemly more powerful and active than the body it animates
You are just stuck on the physical body because u havent been shown anything else
Who are u to dispute someones experiences after a clinical death???
Science as well as the supernatural does not support the nothing happens theory
Thts your limiting beliefs
Aaliyah wouldnt be alliyah as weve known her when she comes back
She could  be a white guy that has memories of the past life as alliyah

Its contradictory to say that u die theres nothing but magically its going to come back to life if the person is gone that physical form is never coming back again because death isnt sleep its death deterioration rotting flesh maggot food bones
Theres no need to revisit that if its dead

Anything is possible im not disputing that
But as u can see god is not in human form
And thats because whatever form its in is superior to the form we call humans
So why would god care about an inferior form when the soul returns to him?
And what if that person is destined to become an ascended master or an angel guide
In that regard their work wouldnt need a physical vessel for that
Your putting too much faith in the physical world imo
