idk 90s and Early 2000s black movies had their own swag and it just seemed like regular people who just happened to be black and culturally relevant.

Then Tyler Perry made everything become a Dramatic "comedy"

It seems like a lot of these older black movies were made for actual black audiences and not something tailored for white audiences to get a peak into black life

Shows like Dear White People and Insecure seem to do more of the latter

I can agree with this.  I don't think insecure does it at all tho.  That's actually why i like it so much. It seems like REAL ass black friendships. I love Issa & Molly's dynamic

I don't agree.

Dear White People is the most real black show I've seen in a minute

but that's probably because this current gen of blacks seem more of a mixed of white and black cultuire.

I remember growing up people always said I listened to white people music now the girls are giving their best Emo Rock mess in the hood
