Is it free, .99, or 7.99?

The Amazon Echo is $.99 but you gotta get a Amazon Music subscription with it for $7.99 but you can cancel the music subscription after you order it.

This is a bargain. Everyone in my family getting these.
I've seen people on Twitter say that after it arrived, they called Amazon and got a refund for the subscription.   :kii:

Not sure if it'll work but that's how people were getting multiple for a $1.

It works. I just contacted them through the chat and they canceled it and gave a full refund for each subscription.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

QuoteIf you set up the Alexa app on your phone, IT WILL IMPORT ALL OF YOUR PHONE CONTACTS. I didn't think I gave it permission to do so but Alexa did indeed import my contacts! You may have read stories how, WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE, Alexa can record what's being said in your home and then send it to ANY or ALL of those contacts! Yikes! And, I won't want any of my kids to accidentally send messages to or call people on my contact list. So, if you want to keep your contacts from Alexa and prevent that from happening here's how I did it:

Before installiing the Alexa app on your phone, export your contacts to a file and save it for later. Then, go back to the phone and delete those contacts (don't worry, you'll import them back in later). Now, install the Alexa app on your phone and go through the set up process. At some point, you'll have the option to allow Alexa to automatically import any additions to your contacts. Please "disable" that option. After you're done with the installation, you'll notice there are no contacts in your Alexa app! Now, you can import your contacts back into your phonebook using the file that you initially created and you're good to go!
