These are still human beings, I wouldn't want my grandma to catch that shit. So it's everyone's responsibility to not take it lightly because it "only kills the old and sick people", while they're spreading it across the globe recklessly. Also it's not just the old that will be dying, hospitals are already being overwhelmed so everyone needing medical care will suffer.


That is just my opinion.

The Flu kills more people every year and has a bigger demographic in terms of mortality rate.
Put that into perspective.

Countries don't destroy their economies or deploy the military for the seasonal flu.

Corona has a higher case fatality rate and more potential to overrun healtcare than the normal flu. If the spread isn't slowed down enough the CFR goes up, because the 5% that need intensive care are not able to get one.

That's called, overeaction.
