A positive result is always better than an unknown one
With a positive result you get on treatment and curb multiple infections, whilst having an unknown status you can infect multiple people.
Black gay men are getting tested more and more which is part contribution to new positive cases SHOULD plateau and level off in a few years especially when factoring in aggressive campaigns like this with Prep positives stats will rise a bit more, then plateau then should decrease, whilst others may rise.

Maybe because I live in Cali, but I see more White gorls with the bug than anyone.

Gay and bisexual men have the largest number of new diagnoses in the United States. Blacks/African Americans and Hispanics/Latinos are disproportionately affected by HIV compared to other racial and ethnic groups. Also, transgender women who have sex with men are among the groups at highest risk for HIV infection, and injection drug users remain at significant risk for getting HIV.

Let's not let our surroundings skew the facts.  There's nothing wrong with targeting the most affected demographic

So white gays being diagnosed with HIV is dropping dramatically?

I work with a group and there was a study being conducted about Pre-exposure prophylaxis or PREP.
Unfortunately White men are more conscious about these types of treatments as well as maintaining the usage and adhering to daily dosage. The study conducted was literally about how to spread more awareness to black males and once they're on the drug,  how to KEEP them on the drug. That's why alot of these commercials target minorities tbh. I don't think this has anything to do with white males getting tested less than black males or any of that foolishness.  Sometimes we need to not try to change the narrative and own the facts

I'm just saying it's multilayered
Black men are definitely effected more so any group, but I'm saying the data for overall cases isn't clear cut and there are many different factors for the end result of the data

And if I'm not mistaken, black men are most greatly effected by the HIV epidemic so there should be advertisements targeting that demographic
