I thought that was just how the fashion world worked back then but now I'm wondering how much of that image is created in my head by antm. The challenges were so cruel at times..it was like a cult, all contestants had to let go of their intuition and blindly follow the leaders.

You ever hear of a supermodel talking about shooting in complete darkness in the damn woods?

No I mean the tough criticism
This mentality that you have to work so damn hard and change yourself to be accepted

I think the biggest criticism in the industry was/isweight, but Tyra seemed to skip over that a lot of times and focussed on features like hair and make up, which was stupid because designers, publications would want someone who is versatile and flexible in their look, easily mouldable for what they need at the time.
