It's crazy how this didn't perform well but is a huge r&b staple
So unforgettable and timeless

Changed r&b forever
It was a big hit. Just never sold and released for a single. They wanted people to buy the album so it didn't chart because at the time billboard only allowed songs that were released as singles to chart on Hot 100.

These are the things that don't get annotated in history and doesn't translate over time.

Same with Are You That Somebody except that wasn't even on a fkn album.
It was on the dr Doolittle soundtrack

SouravMay

Brandy- Top of the World
Sparkle - be careful
Will Smith - men in black

Are more examples like that
B7

rosone1

A smarter labels would have released it and pulled it at Gold.

I was 10 in 96 so what are you trying to say

They really dropped it with the Men and Black. They wanted that soundtrack to be a Bodyguard.

It wasn't on an album someone would want to push by the method mentioned in Navy's post.
