Elective surgery is never needed, but it does look better according to mainstream standards of beauty. 

I will say that humps in noses are easier to remedy than wide set noses. This is why black nose jobs are usually awful, because they are changing the nostril openings and the tip.

She got surgery to enhance her features, she doesn't look like a different person so I'd say she got it for the right reasons. No different than wearing foundation or braces imo.
