i don't feel that ownership should be a determining factor on whether or not our communities are protected. owning or renting, they still live there and should be protected particularly since the aim of the looting and protesting is to stop the destruction of black lives and communities.
But bby bruv

I think it's two different mentalities going on

Some ppl that are down at the bottom, are extremely tired and want this system uprooted

They are tearing it up because they want everything torn up.

Of course whites aren't gonna loot Macy's and LV and Gucci stores, because they are regular shoppers there :dead:

What we are witnessing isn't the ppl that have. We are witnessing the have nots finally speaking out in the only way this society has given them. Violence and force.

That's why looking down on them is so dangerous. These ppl have lived HELL in those neighborhoods, and we look from the outside in our comfy homes away from the chaos asking why they are tearing it up. Because the hood is literally HELL

i mean yall are gonna being hard on him .. his brother was just MURDERED.. let him vent a bit
um ... ppl literally forgot about Breonna and did nothing. His family has 10 million and her family barely got 125k. I'd say he needs to stfu and embrace all the support he's getting

This is more than George Floyd. Everybody in this situation is opportunistic if we're being honest.

We've seen a video of cops SHOOTING black boys, and this is the second death by suffocation on cam.

It's not just about his brother :dead:

I get for you for real I do but his brother just died ! Let him say what he wants.  Breonna Taylor is important but he is thinking about his brother rn

oph.

bby bro, i think you might have misunderstood my statement and are making a few assumptions

im not looking down on anybody and i totally understand why the looting is taking place. i wasn't calling on white ppl to loot or anything.

what im saying is take the looting away from black communities because although the business might not be owned by a black person, black families in the community depend on that business. so if we destroy our black communities who is going to be there to help the black families who's resources are now paralyzed or to help them rebuild. i was raised in the hood, i know what it feels like to be eyeballed at the corner store and beauty supply from the moment you step foot. i know what its like to give your money to a mf who you know dont fuck w/ black people but its the only store in the area. i totally get it. but i think we also have to remember that people in these communities rely on mang of these businesses too (unfortunately).

things can feel good and be perfectly justifiable, but i think we still have to look at the reality how they effect our community at the end of the day. i think the looting should be relegated to areas that do not cause harm to black communities. ppl are looting and rioting for the protection of black lives and communities. so i understand the mindset of rioting and looting in those specific areas putting those black lives and communities at risk. there are a million places people can riot & loot for the cause without harming black communities. we should be protected at all costs rn. im not calling for an end to the uprising. just a recalibration that protects black communities.

Opposites Attract.

even with this way of thinking.... NO BLACK COMMUNITY WAS DESTROYED DURING THIS PARTICULAR EVENT.

Lenox mall isn't in a black niggahood and neither was the Target that set this shit off. Now what?

People have been protesting and destroying shit in downtown areas. Gag orda let's talk about the fucking orda.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

oph.

i wasn't speaking on a specific event, i was talking generally. and if this particular looting wasn't taking place in a black community then i have no issue with it. and again, george floyd's brother is grieving so i definitely think it's appropriate to dhow him some grace in this time

CHOKE

10m?!

I may have to ask for a wellness check for my cousin

And see how the mess plays out
