Many Africans confuse economic opportunities with social justice. They are used to being oppressed economically by people who look like them. So they come here, make money, live good and seem to think everything is great because its better than where they come from.

This sweeping generalization. You are just as bad as her.

Clearly I can't speak for all, but  I will say this, MANY Africans who live in the US feels this way. And please save me with the all of Africa is not poor, bla bla blah. I have traveled extensively in Africa, I was married in Africa to an African. I have had to educate many of them on black oppression, systematic racism and the long lasting affects slavery and Jim Crow has had on the black American mentality.

It is a sweeping generalization, and unfortunately it is mostly true. The majority of Africans, specifically Sub Saharan Africans, would love to move to the USA if given the opportunity. After dealing with poverty and extreme economic oppression, the USA would look like a fantasy land to them.  So they ignore the plight of the African American, because they feel that we should be "thankful" for what we have. Which is an easier access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities, despite systematic racism.

You might have traveled to African but I was born in Africa and you are WRONG, prejudiced and just as ignorant as her.

Amazing

very true
A lot of them would rather live in a post slavery era (America/Europe) than a post colonial era (Africa)

I knew your baboon ass would co-sign this.

its a strong truth
not just among africans but immigrants in general

just think 50 year person coming here getting a complete life reset without all the baggage of their country

vs a 50 year old black man just now getting his finances and life stable ready for his american dream
gets tols his credit isnt good enough

but the 50 year old immigrant gets a clean slate because they just came here and they can open a business and buy a car and house because they are like teenagers with their credit

and then the report comes down
i came to this country and did this that and that
blacks just lazy or whatever

so

!!!
Africans live in a society that is the product of racism and colonialism, they don't live in a active racist society where they are oppressed like black people in the diaspora, so when some of them come to the west and see all the benefits, like easily accessible education, especially higher education, healthcare, paid holidays, maternity leave, transport etc they're are literally thinking...well what's a lil racism! Lmao!
It's only after when they realise they're considered a NIGGER too

Dr Naomi Campbell

My father came from a well off military family in west Africa so he had an idea but my mother came from a middle class family that made their money on trade
She said she always read heard about racism but never knew what it was until she landed in France in the 80s :dead:
That and the snow almost sent her back   :omf:
