@ the 2 min mark she says she got to meet Whitney & Robyn and that they were gonna work on her career but then she got signed to Atlantic and recorded her debut album...so this must've happened before or in '94 but then how come there's a video of her meeting Whitney for the first time in '95. I'm so confused

That's all it is because I do exactly that. 
It's never until after the fact you realize that it was just absolutely wrong. 

If this is true, though, I wonder if it would have changed anything about her career. That would have been... something.
