Just finished the album. Here's my review mess

- - - -

1. Shut Up — 7/10. This was a really cute opener and I love her voice and the strings.

2. 34+35 — 5/10. Love the production and her voice but these lyrics are so embarrassing and she doesn't sound convincing singing these lyrics. Sex kitten! 69! Math class! nnnnn Ari gorl....

3. Motive ft. Doja Cat — 9/10. Ari's enunciation can be better but otherwise i LOVE this. Should definitely be a single.

4. Just Like Magic — 4/10. Boring as hell and extremely forgettable.

5. Off The Table ft. The Weeknd — 4/10. This BORING mess. Are they serious? :uhh: "Love Me Harder" was one of the best songs on My Everything and one of the best in her career. This collab was such a disappointment, they could've kept this mess.

6. Six Thirty — 3/10. Everything about this is lazy af. Lazy vocals, lazy production, and lazy songwriting. And this production sounds very similar to the Sweetener album.

7. Safety Net ft. Ty Dolla Sign — 5/10. I like the songwriting and Ty Dolla Sign's feature but this production and vocal is boring. Not a fan of her whisper vocals.

8. My Hair — 8/10. ACKKKK this slayed! Loved everything about this and I like the vocal acrobatics. Personally would've preferred if she sung the end in her regular voice rather than the whistle tho.

9. Nasty — 5/10.  Nnnnn she just doesn't sound convincing when explicitly talking about sex. This and that 34+35 mess sound embarrassing and could've been kept. Vocals and production are lazy.

10. West Side — 6/10. This was really cute tbh. My only complaint is the song is way too short.

11. Love Language — 8/10. Really like this. I love the outro and wish it was longer. I don't know why but this song reminds me of "Greedy" from the Dangerous Woman album dddd. I think it's the disco/funk undertones during the chorus.

12. Positions — 4/10. A week later and I'm still not feeling this. Really don't know why she chose this as the lead single. I will say that it sounds much better on the album as an album track rather than a single.

13. Obvious — 6/10. This is cute but kinda forgettable. It sounds very similar to the other songs on this album.

14. POV — 5/10. It's a shame this song is boring af because I love her voice here! She sounds so pretty.

Overall verdict

Score: 79/140 = 56%

The song has some cute songs but overall it's very mediocre. She sounds good (as always) but is it just me or was she holding back a lot? Listen to Dangerous Woman album or Sweetener album and she was really singing her ASS off on those 2 albums. The vocals on here were very subdued and low key. Also, the production was very one dimensional with most of the mess sounding the same. Some of the songs also sound like extras from the Sweetener/Thank U Next sessions. And the songwriting on this album was very mediocre. I have no problem with artists expressing themselves sexually but this was such a lazy and boring effort from her. This album is easily worse than Dangerous Woman, Sweetener & Thank U Next.... might even be worse than My Everything tbh.

Best tracks:
- Shut Up
- Motive
- My Hair
- West Side
- Love Language
- Obvious

Songs that should be released as singles: Motive, My Hair & Love Language
This analysis is pretty on point to be honest. For me anyway

She prob will make more money w/ Ari doing it.

But I will say that Jaguar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Positions. Even that album title is uninspired as hell. Positions does get better with each listen though. Overall, I like it now.

Victoria collaborated with other writers for 'my hair' and was called in specifically for this project. There was no way for her to 'keep' the song.  :dead:

Understood. Thanks

I still don't care to hear a white girl sing it. No big deal, i just don't use.
